How do we turn all that online LinkedIn activity and that LinkedIn engagement into LinkedIn success? Defining what success means to you is a good start. In small business it’s likely to be results in the form of new business, dollars or pounds in the bank. With new customers that have resulted from your engagement activity, you now see a return against your investment of time and money. But what is it that has got you this return?

There always appears to be two polar sides to this question, this leads to great debate; Are rules to be followed or broken? Getting business success with LinkedIn, more specifically how to engage and participate using this tool, seems like a fitting place to continue this debate. So, below I’ll set out my LinkedIn Rules of Engagement for Small Business, basically the activity that can bring you results and what to watch out for. Then I'll discuss whether I setup these rules to be broken or followed.
